Welcome to my website. My name is Ryan Kingston and I am a 26 year old media designer from Calgary, Albera. I graduated from Southern Alberta's Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Calgary, Alberta in April 2004 with a degree in New Media Production and Design. My previous work experience has given me the opportunity to work on various projects ranging from website design to brand identity and print layout.
Intertemp International required a webpage to help customers quickly access information about their products. They also wanted a design that could be easily updated and that could also feature their clearance models. The custom content management systyem I designed provided them with a program to meet all of their needs.
My goal at Intertemp International was to organize their print material in a manner that provided consistent flow. This involved updating and revising their product sheets, price sheets, cd covers, letter heads and brochures. Attention was paid to all details including color and style.
Intertemp International also required a website to help their customers understand the benefits of the zero gravity seating position. I developed a program that not only allowed customers to understand the product in greater detail but also gave them the option of pricing out the highly customizable options. This venture allowed the company to offer online sales.
This is one of the flyers I developed for Intertemp International to accompany their Perfect Chair Website.
Each year x929, a local radio station in Calgary, has an exposure contest for local bands. The winners are featured on a cd and receive prize money. They hold a contest for local artists to design the album art. This was my submission for 2008.
Travis Salonka, a local concept artist, was looking for a simple website to display his work. Travis also wanted a simple content management system to update his work easily.
While attending SAIT we had to design a major website. This project had to be in php and have an order from so customers could order products online.
Box art for a mod for NeverWinter Nights: "Winterkeep: the Staff of Spirits". This was a final project at SAIT. Our team decided on making a mod for the game NeverWinter Nights, It was required to have a Box CD and manual.
Another project for SAIT included designing an annual report for a fictional company. After we designed the page layouts in inDesign we had them printed and binded for presentation.
Various Logos I have done over the years.
